Stablecoin Supply and Crypto Market Liquidity
Stablecoins (USDT, USDC, etc.) are the "cash ready to buy coins" in crypto. Their total supply is seen as the market's buying-power ammo — more ammo, more fuel for rallies; contracting supply, weaker advances.
Why it leads
- Supply expansion (issuance / net inflow): new money entering, often leads or accompanies strength;
- Supply contraction (redemptions / net outflow): capital leaving, weaker upside;
- A rising stablecoin share of total crypto market cap (stablecoin dominance) often means heavy sidelined caution — the market is waiting.

Search stablecoin market-cap tickers/indicators and place total stablecoin cap below the BTC chart for comparison. Focus on turning points and slope: supply flipping from contraction to expansion is often an early sign of improving liquidity.
