Crypto Chart Colors & Dark Theme for Eye Comfort
Crypto is 24/7 and many watch charts at 3am, so eye comfort matters even more than for stock traders. Color isn't aesthetics — it's fatigue management. The freedom is high, but most people only need to change three things.
Three steps
- Global dark theme: desktop follows the system; in a dim room it cuts the brightness gap;
- Low-saturation candles: drop the default high-saturation red/green a notch or two — big high-saturation flicker is the main strain driver, and crypto's frequent candle jumps make it worse;
- Background and grid: solid dark gray over pure black, grid opacity to just visible.
Two practical notes
- Color vision deficiency: swap up/down to blue/orange — far more legible than default red/green;
- Once tuned, save it as a theme template, apply in one click, synced across devices; keep a separate high-contrast template for streaming/screenshots.
Tip: for late-night watching, a system night/warm mode's color-temperature shift tints red/green candles — turn off auto temperature on your charting screen. Multi-monitor supports per-display full-screen.
